Dale Cottages village of Independent Living Units spans over 16 acres and provides a range of secure and comfortable accommodation options for older people. Our village offers an enhanced lifestyle with special emphasis being placed on upholding each individual's privacy and autonomy, in a relaxed, community environment.

Independent living offers over 55's the opportunity to live an independent lifestyle within a supportive, village setting. Residents may also be able to access a range of other support services from Dale Community Care and/or the broader community on a fee-for-service basis.

Accommodation

Our double brick traditional style homes feature quality fittings and are tastefully decorated. Each unit features neutral décor to ensure they appeal to all tastes.

Units are offered under the lease for life where a resident enters into a contract that gives the resident a long term right to occupy the premises; this provides security of tenure after the payment of an entry contribution. We also have a number of rental units.

  • We do not charge entry fees and exit fees only apply within the first two years.
  • Deferred Management Agreement applies to first 10 years only regardless of length of time in your accommodation.

  • Refundable amount is paid directly to resident or estate within 90 days of leaving the village *Conditions may apply. 
  • Residents or resident’s family do not have to on-sell the unit following vacating the unit.

    • Our Independent Living units are continually monitored to ensure upgrades are carried out if required. A regular building maintenance schedule such as painting, gutter cleaning, termite inspection & upkeep of units is implemented. A renewal program is providing modern, attractive units and continually improving the residents' lifestyle.

    Lifestyle

    The Village at Dale Cottages is home to an active and independent community of seniors. Located walking distance to Armadale’s CBD, residents enjoy easy access to shops, banks, cafes, public transport and local medical centres.

    The Greendale Centre is located within the village grounds providing residents and the community access to a range of services and activities such as crafts, live entertainment, social events, and exercise. The Events Coordinator also regularly organises social events for residents & families - including barbecues and festive celebrations.
