On Friday 21s August, the Greendale Centre held a BBQ celebration to celebrate all things “ Seniors”.
Our BBQ was cooked by our outstanding volunteer Ray did a great job and cooked for 50 very excited patrons. This was the christening of our new BBQ, which was part of a recent volunteers grant that we were successful in obtaining through Matt Keogh, Federal sitting member for the seat of Burt.
All patrons enjoyed a very yummy BBQ , the salads and desserts were beautiful and enjoyed by all patrons. Thank you Geoff and his team from Catercare.
Our volunteers worked so hard setting up the dining area, preparing meals and service. Once again our volunteers did an outstanding job and without them none of our functions would be possible. Special thanks also to our Community Services Coordinator Stacey, who organised such a wonderful event.
During Lunch service we enjoyed a Pub Quiz on the big screen with lots of laughs, this was followed by raffles, lucky door prizes and we finished off the after with some crazy bingo.
All patrons really enjoyed the afternoon and left with a spring in their step and full of fun and laughter.
