Figures are illustrative, based on published 2025–26 provider prices and Support at Home subsidy rates. They show the subsidy required to fund each care plan and exclude any client contribution, which varies with individual circumstances.
Under the Support at Home program, client contributions may still apply. Even full age pension recipients are generally required to contribute toward certain services. The exception is people who transitioned from a Home Care Package with grandfathered arrangements.
Contributions are currently set at up to 5% of the age pension for independence services, such as transport and social support, and up to 17.5% of the age pension for everyday living services, such as domestic assistance, shopping and meal preparation. Clinical services are fully funded by the Government.
